Installed in 1920, the four bells in St. Mary’s steeple were cast in Baltimore and weigh 3050lbs., 1300 lbs., 950 lbs., and 725 lbs. They sound the Westminster Peal when played by the Seth Thomas tower clock. The clock also has an Angelus movement.
All four bells are dedicated to aspects of the Virgin Mary. They not only sound the hours and quarters of the day but swing to ring for announcing services and after weddings, etc. There is also a funeral toll on the largest bell.
