During these Coronavirus precautions, we are recording our church's celebrations in the Latin Extraordinary Form because we’re the only parish in DC who do this as a matter of Archdiocesan ministry. Our Ordinary Form English & Chinese parishioners can view the Triduum celebrations from the Archdiocese & Ascension in Houston, TX. They will be shared on our FB page & website. Extraordinary Form parishioners are encouraged to review the archbishop’s homily after tuning in with us for the rites themselves.
Good Friday we will open the church from 5pm-6pm for silent prayer so that the faithful can come and venerate the Cross from a distance. We require those present maintain 6’ distance apart. To prevent clusters of people forming at the main doors, entrance will be through the side doors at the front of the church (entrance through the south door, exit through the north). There is plenty of street parking so the lot will NOT be open, again to prevent the possibility of clusters of people forming on church grounds.
Join us 6pm Wednesday on our Facebook page for a livestream with Fr. De Rosa & Fr. Bradley. They'll share our parish plans for celebrating the Triduum this Holy Week under the current circumstances due to the Coronavirus with a chance for Q&A.
We look forward to the celebration of Confirmation in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite at the hands of Bishop Francisco Gonzalez Saturday June 6 at 10am. Candidates for Confirmation in the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite should contact Fr. De Rosa in preparation for the sacrament.
